Beauty for Ashes: A Place For Us? Is an interactive day of training and learning run by Scripture Union that aims to equip and inspire Scottish churches to be safe, loving communities for vulnerable children and their families.  Whether you’re an SU group leader; working in a church or a volunteer at camp, this conference is a must if you want to get alongside children who have experienced separation and loss.

Our speaker

Dr. Keith White will share from his book, The Growth of Love, the five elements we need in order to welcome vulnerable children and young people into our churches; security, boundaries, significance, community and creativity.

Afternoon seminars will bring practical tips and inspiration for your situation.  Topics include dealing with challenging behaviour, modelling forgiveness, church in gang culture, sustaining your spirituality on the frontline, helping children who have experienced separation and loss and developing church-school links.

Feedback from the last two years at Beauty for Ashes has been excellent, and we are praying that God will continue to use the event to help His church to reach many more vulnerable children and young people with His transforming love.
